Block Paved Driveway and Sandstone Patio

This project involved the installation of a block paved driveway and a sandstone patio at the rear of the property. Our team tackled the job as individuals, focusing on perfecting the driveway before moving onto the patio.

Block Paved Driveway:

• Site Preparation: Removal of the existing driveway was the first task for the team, followed by leveling the ground, removal of any debris and ensuring proper drainage.
• Installation: The Block Paving was laid in the agreed pattern and style chosen by the customer, ensuring alignment and setting along the way. This process includes the preparation of a sub-base, laying the blocks, cutting the blocks to be used for edges and compacting the surface.

Sandstone Patio and Stairs:

• Site Preparation: Clearing and preparing rear of the property for the new patio and stairs to be put in.
• Stair Installation: The old steps, which were previously just concrete that ascended up the small hill in the client’s garden, were prepped with a new layer of brick. They could then have the new, luxurious sandstone laid on top to create the beautiful stairs they are today.
• Patio Installation: Sandstone slabs were laid in the predetermined style, ensuring all slabs are level and properly spaced. A suitable sub-base was considered to prevent future sinking or displacement.
